The payment of fines and monies must be in the form of cash or money order only.  NO credit card or personal check are accepted.

The Ogden justice court has jurisdiction over cases pertaining to traffic violations, criminal misdemeanors & violations, preliminary hearings for felonies, and civil lawsuits filed for damages up to $3,000 in either justice court or small claims.

Small Claims
There is also a small claims court to handle claims up to $3,000. The cost is $10.00 for claims up to $1000.00; $15.00 for claims from 1001.00 to 3000.00. Small Claims summonses are mailed to defendant by certified mail. Dates for court appearance will be given within 20-40 days. Paperwork and payment for filing a small claims action can be processed  during court office hours.  If you have won a small claims action and the other party has not responded within the 30 day time period, please contact the Ogden Town Constable, Arthur Gary Zimmer, Civil Enforcement Officer at (585)637-2031-Office  or  (585)704-9903- Cell.
