The friends are library supporters who are committed to strengthening the library and helping it provide the best service possible to the community.
What Friends Do
- Organize book sales and other activities to raise money to benefit the Library.
- Support the Library through equipment purchases and volunteer time.
- Fund programs for all ages.
- Sponsoring the Junior Friends and their activities.
- Lobby our legislators on behalf of the Library.
- Volunteer in the library, performing such tasks as sorting book donations and reading shelves.
- Representing the Library at community events such as Canal Days
- Helping the Library promote literacy in our community
- Delivering books ot homebound induviduals in Ogden
What Friends Have Done for the Library
- Purchased computer software for use by Library patrons.
- Purchased community display cases used in the Library foyer.
- Purchased furniture for the children's area.
- Purchased an Ellison Lettering Machine and dies for cutting letters and figures.
- Supported a variety of programs for children and teenagers.
- Purchased a DVD/CD cleaner which greatly prolongs the life of our collections.
- Purchased T-shirts, totes, and other promotional items.
- Purchased a cold-press laminator.
- Purchased picture frames for historical photos
- Purchased a full-size popcorn machine.
- Purchased flower and plants for the library garden.
Benefits of Being a Friend
- 25 free copies from the Xerox Copier per week for a single membership, 50 for a family membership, and a discounted rate beyond that number.
- Early-Bird buying privileges at the library's annual book sale.
- The opportunity to purchase books through the library at discounted rates.
- Friends are exempt from the 50¢ fee charged for holds.

- Download a membership application here; Complete it and send it to the library. If you would like more information on joining the Friends of the Ogden Farmers' Library, send an email message to Kay Hughes-Dennett and a membership brochure will be mailed to you. Make sure to include your name, address, city, state & zip code in your message.
Annual Membership Fees:
- Adult membership - $7
- Family membership - $12
- Business membership - $25
